Kevin Rivoli is an award-winning photojournalist who has photographed everyone from professional sports stars to presidents. But his favorite subjects have always been ordinary people doing ordinary things. A devout Norman Rockwell fan, Rivoli has always felt connected to Rockwell’s work and credits the American icon with inspiring his passion for celebrating the ordinary and embracing the simple, everyday moments in life that happen all around us.

It’s that inspiration that lead Rivoli to develop the In Search of Norman Rockwell’s America project. The project includes a book  - released by Simon & Schuster in late 2008 - and an international traveling exhibition.  That exhibit, which began touring in June, 2009, has been extended through March, 2012.

Unprecedented in concept, In Search of Norman Rockwell's America pairs Rivoli's spontaneous photographs side by side with Rockwell's iconic paintings, demonstrating that Rockwell's scenes were not just imagined on a canvas but rather continue to sensitively reflect the American experience today.
